"Running-in-place"
"Running-in-place" is a warm-up exercise whose purpose is to increase the flow of oxygen to your muscles in order to prepare you for further activity. When "running" one should stay on one's toes and the knees should be brought up high. At the end of the exercise, the runner's heart should be beating faster and breathing heavier than before starting. A good starting duration is fifteen seconds.
