A look at the camp as it was then.  Featuring photographs taken by Ansel Adams in 1942 and donated by him to the Library of Congress in the hope that the story of Manzanar--and the other internment camps--would someday receive a fair hearing from the American people.

The entrance to Manzanar as it existed then.  The sign-posts and guard house still stand.  The scene looks much the same today.
